I say we, but really it’s just me.
With the Super Bowl on the horizon, or you know…Sunday, my workload elsewhere is about to revert back to offseason levels. That means that there will be time to work on Pre Snap Reads(PSR). There are different ideas in my head for the site, but the content will primarily revolve around cornerback analysis.
Everything is fluid with PSR. I have nothing set in stone in regards to content, timing or quantity of posts. That is the nature of my work because at any time my whole schedule could change.
With that in mind, I’m going to detail exactly what is planned for the cornerback analysis now. There will be free content on this website, including in-depth cornerback analysis, however, the plan is to also have a book for each division that will cost $5.
Each book will include in-depth analysis and scouting(example here) of every cornerback in that book’s division. For example, the NFC West book will cost $5 and will look at every cornerback who plays for the Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers, Arizona Cardinals and St. Louis Rams. For those that want to buy every division at once, there will be a cheaper price, but they will be released throughout the offseason separately and I can’t be certain that every division will get done.
I can’t be sure that every division will get done because these pieces take a huge amount of time and I’m not getting paid for this work as I go along. Therefore I have to prioritize the work I do for my other employers.
I strive for transparency in everything I do, that is why I’m writing this.
Now I would also like to thank those of you who have asked about PSR throughout the NFL season. Many of you have approached me and inquired about the future of PSR and the truth is I wasn’t 100 percent sure that it would ever actually come back. It still may not happen, but that’s only if I get a full-time job elsewhere and that seems very unlikely at this point.
PSR started very late in the offseason last year, so this year should be even better. That, combined with the HD All-22 film, should allow PSR to be a much better site than it was last year.
